Hello Friends,
Many of you know me, Steve Ross, from painting alongside my father, Bob Ross, on his television show. He was an extraordinary man who taught me not only how to paint, but how to approach life with kindness and gratitude. Over the years—especially throughout the 1980s and 1990s—I had the privilege of traveling across the country teaching painting workshops in cities and small towns alike. Connecting with people through art has always meant the world to me.
At this time, I am not teaching classes due to my recovery from a recent heart attack. While my focus right now is on healing and regaining strength, I am hopeful and looking forward to returning to teaching when I am able. I truly appreciate the outpouring of support and patience during this time.
In the meantime, I’m very happy to share that my close friend and fellow artist, Bram Bevins, is actively traveling and teaching workshops. Bram is an experienced instructor who brings warmth, skill, and encouragement to every class. He is currently offering painting workshops across the country, including near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and is available for classes and events.
You can learn more about Bram’s work and upcoming workshops at https://paintwithbram.com, or visit his YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIVj6mcNMns-MaOPisQHOpw.
This website will continue to serve as the central place for class listings, updates, and future announcements—including news about my return to teaching when the time is right.
Thank you for your continued support, and we hope you’ll join Bram for a workshop in the coming year. I look forward to painting with you again soon.
Warm regards,
Steve Ross
